PGC is thankful for more brothers & sisters resuming in-person Sunday service, and number of congregants have been increasing since the move into PCA.  Venues for Children Worship and Jr English Sunday Service are now reaching to the space maximum capacity.  All Ministry Committees have been discussing for a feasible plan that will allow a healthy growth in all congregations and match with PGC’s developmental vision.

Staggered Worship Vision

    Our families belong to same or different congregations to serve and grow together on Sunday morning: AV/Worship teams, Children & Nursery Congregation, Cantonese, English & Jr. English

    Ministry and space needs to be faithfully planned to be engaging, creative and simple.  Pastors & ministry committee leaders have discussed a 3-hour church model.  Here are the progresses and highlights (from A to D)

Bases of Recommendation:

  1. English worship to go first to encourage the youths to stay for the discipleship program (this is requested by the English Ministry Committee).
  2. 30 minutes of transition time is needed for AV and congregation transition, worship team rehearsal and fellowship time (both English and Cantonese worship will share the same seating and AV setup but may have different musical instruments).
  3. 1 hour 15 minutes of worship time is needed in order not to rush (we used to have 1.5 hours for worship at BOSS time, we already feel the tightness in current worship time).
  4. Move the first worship time to 9:30AM so that the second worship will not end too late (most Chinese churches with staggered time worship has first worship begin at 9:00AM or 9:30AM).

The launch date of the recommended worship proposal is to be discussed and confirmed.  In the meantime, please review the above details and raise to your ministry committees if you have any concern.
