Based on YRDSB announcement that all Ontario schools will be closed March 14 until April 5, 2020, PGC will make the following changes to our Sunday worship services:   Since the new coronavirus spreads so quickly and has been proven to be transmitted from person to person, we need to pay extra attention to health and safety. Please exercise extreme caution and security measures as recommended by the Ontario Ministry of Health. Brothers and sisters should pay attention to personal hygiene and well-being of the community. PGC will take the following precaution procedures during this emerging situation:
  1. PGC will install alcohol hand sanitizers at all meeting places. Please make good use of the disinfection to maintain public hygiene, and wash your hands frequently. Wear a mask if necessary to reduce the chance of infection. See for details: Toronto Public Health’s Advice on Precautions against Coronavirus.
  2. If you just returned from mainland China or other highly affected countries/regions, or just returned from a cruise trip, or live with someone who returned from these countries/regions, or suspect you had close contact with any such people, please refrain from attending any church activities for at least 14 days, stay home and seek medical help as necessary. (Please check the affected areas from Travel Health Notices of Canada)
  3. If brothers and sisters feel unwell, please stay home to rest. If you experience flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, please immediately contact your family doctor, any public health agencies or Telehealth Ontario at 1-866-797-0000
  4. Please use other different greeting gestures in place of shaking hands.
  5. Apart from PGCKids Staff serving in the Children Ministry, brothers and sisters should avoid touching children, especially newborn babies.
  6. On Holy Communion Day, ushers will wear gloves to serve HC. Brothers and sisters will be invited to come forward to collect bread and cup from the Usher team.

Lunch menu choices are :Chinese food, Indian food and Western food (Pizza & Fried chicken) . Fee for Adult at $10, Children under 10 yrs at $5.

To welcome newcomers to PGC that have joined us since Nov 2018, lunch will be free for them. Pls kindly get your lunch ticket at the ‘Welcome Hub”.

•           Missionary Misa is having a sharing at the Cantonese congregation this morning. Misa will be leaving for Northwest China for her mission. (For her security, we will not disclose the country name). Pls join us to welcome Misa and pray for her.

•           Spring Sunday School will commence in April. Pls invite those that have accepted Jesus but have not baptised yet to attend the Baptism class. Pls contact Elder Raymond Cheung and Elder Derek Lee.

•           A workshop will be held on Mar 22 Friday at BOSS cafeteria at 7:30pm about the incorrect and misleading concept of the Cult Religion affecting the Christian faith and belief. We have invited Dr. James W.Y. Pang from Toronto Chinese Christian Short-Term Mission Training Centre as our guest speaker. Pls note the workshop will be in Cantonese.

•           Love Coffee have collected $636.44 offering as building fund since Jan2, 2019, accumulative fund of $53,962.14 since inception in 2006.  Appreciated the faithfulness and diligent hard work from brothers and sisters serving at Love Coffee. The objective of this ministry is to collect funds in preparation of building of our new Church site. Pls continue to support the Love Coffee Ministry.

First Executive Board Meeting will be held today at 2:30-5:30pm. Please pray for all Board members together with the Pastoral team for God’s guidance and wisdom. Lucia Fan from IGC will join PGC as part-time Children’s Ministry Co-ordinator starting Feb 10. She will assist the Children’s Pastor in organisation and administrative duties of the ministry. May God bless Lucia with passion in serving the Children’s Ministry. Rev. Dr. Patrick So from Hong Kong Yan Fook Church is invited as guest speaker for a Lecture on Feb 11(Monday) at 7:30pm at Logos Baptist Church (Milliken). Topics discussion about the furious challenges of all churches. Lecture will be presented in Mandarin. Today's Teens Conference is a One-Day Training scheduled for Feb23. A survey will be launched to all Board members, Pastoral Staff team and all Zone Supervisors to collect and analysis short term and long term needs of each congregation and ministry in building facilities and future development. Building Committee is aggressively seeking logistic availability to support the needs for worship and cell meeting.   1. 當參孫得知他的岳父將自己的新娘給了另一個人時,他就立刻要報復,並說:“這回我加害於非利士人不算有罪”,NIV譯本翻譯為“這次我有權向非利士人報復”。以後以色列人與非利士人的冤仇就無時了的相報,百姓生活每況日下。參孫當時所專注的,不是非利士人對他同胞的迫害,而是他自己的仇恨。
  2. 參孫是一個極為膚淺的人,沒有屬靈的深度,也絲毫不在乎神呼召他去解救受苦百姓的重任。但是,神仍然使用自私自利的參孫,來“起首(開始)拯救以色列人脫離非利士人的手”(13:5)人的敗壞,總不能攔阻神工作的前進。
